Really loving this axe! The head design is very similar to the Classic Hunting Axe that I purchased with it; the primary difference being that the grind here is slightly less tapered, which I suppose is more suited for felling than the aforementioned. This chopping axe's head is a bit lighter, as well. This one will definitely be my workhorse. You can't go wrong with either -- or both!

Excellent quality axe made in Sweden from high quality steel, capable of holding a very sharp edge for a long period of time if honed carefully but equally comes out of the box with a very reasonable factory grind which is good for most tasks.
The axe works well in all disciplines; I have found that it works well in my forestry kit, especially for limbing, splitting (copes well with anything but the largest of dense oak logs) and light thinning. A coat of raw linseed oil and a light sharpening makes the axe complete and will last for generations.
The only complaint on this order was the packing; I ordered two of these axes, one for myself and one for my colleague; they came in the same box, no guards and no packing materials. They were luckily undamaged when they arrived but still not ideal

An axe you would want to buy if you would like to finish it off yourself, a light sand and a bit of linseed oil complete this axe. It's a great weight and if sharpened (comes sharpish) it does all the work for you, goes through hardwood like butter and splits logs like nobody's business, pretty similar quality to the gransfors bruks small forest axe definitely the best value for money axe Iv seen in the market
