  1. looks good 4 Star Review

Posted by on 15th Mar 2017

Have only given 4 stars because to date I have only got it out of the box and set up to test it. Looks good and is not too fast to walk with as suggested by others and you can easily push this machine around the awkward bits. The only niggle I have that I can see just from this test is that the wheel treads are plastic. It would really make this look more professional and would it really cost a lot more for rubber treads? Growing season almost here so will be able to give it a good run soon.

  2. Awesome, but not perfect 5 Star Review

Posted by on 24th Oct 2016

Let me start by saying I ordered this on the Thursday and it arrived on the Monday. Superb and that was the basic option. It also arrived very well packed. Once out of the box, it took less than 10 minutes to set up and get running. Be warned, this is a very large, very quick mower and with my just less than an acre, it was rapid. It seems extremely well built and the 200CC engine just purrs. Bad things, the engine pull handle will need replacing as the curved handle just slips out of your hand, no biggy, a few euros and 2 minutes. The last bad thing is that this mower is awesome in the dry, but clogs up way too quickly if the grass is damp. Overall, very pleased and excellent service. I will definately be buying more goods from them.

  4. Brilliant tool but 5 Star Review

Could not adjust wheel height. Found connecting bar from rear to front wheels not fitted properly simple repair. Assembly instructions rather vague.

  5. Mower wins the race 5 Star Review

Posted by on 14th May 2016

I bought this machine on spec I had not heard of the company previously but the description was just what I was looking for so I took the plunge. I had a little difficulty to start off with and as Tim said on the 10th May the instructions were Iffy. After talking with your help desk everything was eventually sorted and I have enjoyed the machine very much. I am 80 years old and find that the weak point is the lack of speed control it is a hard race to keep up with the machine and even harder to push it up the hill of my lawn.

  6. Good Product let down by Delivery Timescales and Communications 3 Star Review

Posted by on 10th May 2016

Ordered this mower on 12 April, with advertised ship date of 22 April. Not advised of impending delivery by 23 April, so contacted timberpro-uk. Never received an answer to my query, and was not advised what was happening until the dat before delivery on 6 May - two weeks late.

The mower itself is good - some points to note below:
    - The set-up instructions were not very clear, but it isn't complicated if you're mechanically minded. If you're not, you may need to phone a friend. In particular, the instructions say that it is set up to collect grass as standard - mine wasn't and it took a few minutes to figure out how to remove the 'plug' at the back.
    - This is a big and heavy piece of kit. If you've not used a mower of this size before, prepare yourself for a bit of a workout, especially if you need to manoeuvre between flowerbeds, etc.
    - The cutting height seems quite high - compared to my previous (smaller) Mountfield 46 cm mower, this is at least 1-2 'levels' higher. My next cut will be on the lowest setting, and I'm nowhere near 'cricket pitch' or 'bowling green'. I haven't checked with it can be adjusted with spanners, yet.
    - Throttle speed is not adjustable, so you can't speed it up to get around the garden (or job) quicker - it takes as long as it takes.
    - As many below have said, it started first time, and runs smoothly and (relatively) quietly. The drive mechanism is positive and smooth.

  9. user manualis useless 4 Star Review

Posted by on 10th May 2016

I set up the machine and although it stated on the delivery note that it was ready to use with the grass collector, it was not. I mowed the lawn only to find the grass box empty. It seems that the mulcher was still fitted in the machine. Enquiries at Timberpro produced the information that all I had to do was to unclip the mulcher and remove it. Fine but where do I find the clips? Doe it come out through the grass box opening or through the underside some how? I have had three goes at removing the thing and I do not want to damage it in any way can anyone advise please? Otherwise the maching seems great .

  10. Nice piece of kit 5 Star Review

Posted by on 15th Mar 2016

took about 10min to assemble filled up the oil and petrol and it started first time.
Grass was dry but the ground was very soft so the cut was not even but it drives well and the cleaning with the water connector is great.
    Well worth the money.
