I've had the saw for a week now, been using a Husky for years (CD 480) which finally gave up the ghost, had a look round and decided to give this a go as for £90 what was there to lose? What a surprise! yes it may be a bit more thirsty than the Husky but cut up a 6 ton wind blown in just over hour, first cut as good as the last so impressed with the chain as well, had to tighten at end, but any new chain would do that, but only half turn on the side screw. Awesome as far as I'm concerned.

I was most impressed with this product when I unpacked and assembled it. I normally buy leading brand chainsaws which are 3 to 4 times the price. This product and is well made. I have used it for a day so far and could not fault it. Its great value for money as it only needs to last 2 years compared to leading brands.

Chain saw arrived in good time. packaged well with a 1 page get your chainsaw going instruction sheet for those who do not understand american English. Have had chainsaws for many years so easy to put together, nice feature of the side chain tensioning screw a good improvement . followed the start instructions but very hesitant by reading the experiences of others. Started just as predicted once in use starts every time if still warm do not touch the choke!! When cold as explained do not push the choke back in before starting. use the hand trigger as explained. chain did stretch as said by others but adjustment easy. The chain gauge is american so you will have to order replacements instead of using existing spare chains. My opinion best saw have ever had use 1.40 to reduce smoke. At 1.25 its too smokey for me and that the only reason i did not five it 5 stars.

This saw has met and surpassed my expectations. I have had it for almost 2 weeks now and have used it 4 or 5 times. Oak, hickory, hard maple, poplar...its all the same to it. I bought it for a firewood saw...and a damn fine one it is. Everytime I use it, I ask myself "did I really buy this saw THAT cheap?". I have used my old bar oil formula(1 part Lucas Oil Stabilizer to 3 parts 10w30 motor oil) for the chain and as usual, it works wonders. What comes with the saw are not the highest quality bar/chains by any means, but if you use the right lube, they'll last for a very long time. The Oil Stabilizer keeps the chain alot cooler which drastically cuts down on stretching. YOU CANNOT RUSH THIS SAW so have patience with it...its not a big timber saw, even though the name implies it. Let it cut at it own pace and it will do just fine. I have read that some folks have had to adjust the carb and oiler settings for best performance...not so with mine. It has ran and oiled perfectly, through at least a dozen fuel/oil cycles, right out of the box. I am so impressed with TIMBERPRO, that I have purchased the little Top Handle saw they offer as well...should be here tomorrow. I'm also seriously considering buying another 62cc package (16" & 20" bars and chains), so I can have a 20" saw, a 16" saw, and the little Top handle 10" saw as my firewood equipment. I come from a family of Loggers...trust me, I was very skeptical and did alot of research before I bought a TIMBERPRO saw. So I say, if you need a great little firewood saw, then don't think about it...just buy it. You'll be happy with it.

Recently purchased this chain saw must say I am well impressed working along side a £600 well known manufacturer chain saw this timber pro machine keeps up with this all day at a fraction of the price slightly heavier on gas thou about a litre a day

Bought on the strength of this saw's good reviews. Yes the covers/fairings are plasticy (polycarb? polyprop?) but as everything mission critical (front handle + chain guidebar) is made of metal and is bolted to the chassis, I'm happy. The bar mount/brake assembly is a built quite lightly and is also plastic, but seems effective enough. The choke control again is plastic, but is only proud of the rest of the saw when the choke is on, so in use, or when stored I wouldn't say it's prone to being broken easily.
The Good Bits:
Very easy to start straight out of the box if you follow the explicit instructions. When warm, starts first pull every time. Ticks over and revs out fine, so factory carb settings seem OK to me. It's also very responsive when you blip the throttle. The plug and air filter are accessible within seconds, so what's not to like?
Managed to take down a 45ft sycamore about 22" dia at the base, from the top down (removed limbs with bow saw first) using the 20" chain/bar provided before the chain needed sharpening although I would go with others comments regarding the virtue of fitting an Oregon chain. It seems to be using about half a tank of chain oil to a tank of fuel which seems OK.
So to summarise, unless I discover after more use that the piston rings or crank seals are made of chocolate, for the price, I'm gonna say this saw is dammed good value as I'm not going to use it commercially. I love it.

I was at first skeptical of purchasing a saw that I had never seen in person. This on top of being a over seas purchase I had a lot of skepticism. My first impression was that it felt really light and that it couldn't be that powerful.I ran the 16" bar first and was immediately surprised how well it ran.Has a lot of rpm range and I never felt like I was over workng the saw.All around after 2 days I'd have to say I'm very happy with my purchase of the Timberpro 6150.

I was a bit apprehensive about buying this product as I experience has taught me to steer clear of buying cheap tools. I had a lot of timber to mill but it is a one off job and I did not know whether the Timberpro would stand up to the job.
How wrong can you be!
I bought the 24" bar to go with it, and fitted a Granberg ripping chain. The saw started on the second pull contrary to some reviews. Thus far I have milled about 100' of 19" wide ash and hornbeam with around 250' still to go with the saw mounted in a homemade alaskan mill.
